Get to know us
Situated in the South Philadelphia area, we have been blessed to serve our community, which is rich in Indonesian cultures, since the year 2000. The ministry seed of the New Life Praise Center was sown in that year, with a straightforward mission: to establish a space where individuals can experience God's love and develop their faith together.
Guided by our pastoral family, Pastor Emmanuel and Joula Tandean, our church has endured various seasons, consistently upholding our fundamental values of love, community, truth, and mission. Today, we persist as a source of hope in Philadelphia, providing not only Sunday services but also a comprehensive array of ministries that cater to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God is indeed Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative for faith and practice.
We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of everything. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He embodies total love and complete holiness.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, who is both God and man, is the only One capable of reconciling us to God. He led a sinless and exemplary life, sacrificed Himself on the cross for us, and rose again to demonstrate His victory and empower us for life.
We believe that sin has caused a separation between each of us and God, as well as His purpose for our lives.
We believe that to attain forgiveness and experience the 'new birth,' we must repent of our sins, have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and yield to His will for our lives.
Our church community is characterized by our commitment to God’s Word and reliance on the Holy Spirit. We hold that the Word & Spirit were fundamental to the church's establishment on Pentecost and should serve as our foundation too.
Consequently, our guiding documents, which include our beliefs, mission, vision, and core values, reflect the high regard we have for scriptural authority and the empowering presence of the Spirit in our lives.
A vibrant Christian community in the heart of Philadelphia, dedicated to spreading God's love and building lasting relationships
